Or find someone daring enough to replace the power connector (requires a
fair bit of soldering and disassembling). If you're that far into
diassembling the system, why not try it out first, if you've got nothing to
lose. Of course theres the possibility of damaging other components, but
that same risk applies when diassembling the unit anyways (just make sure
the solder job is decent and not shorting anything).
