Hello,

You missed one 8->

http://www-3.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=DSHY-3VQQS6

 + (Fix-1)Fix for enumerating Intel 82371AB(PIIX4) correctly When the user installs Windows 98 in APM mode, PIIX4 is enumerated by both PnP BIOS and Windows 98. So Error message appears in the device manager. This registry patch cleans up this error.

I also remember some problems with windows using standard drivers
for some devices in the chipset. Intel has a utility that updates
the windows inf files to properly configure the chipset.

The Intel® Chipset Software Installation Utility installs the Windows* INF files. The INF files inform the operating system how to properly configure the chipset for specific functionality, such as AGP, USB, Core PCI, and ISAPNP services.

73 Eric
