Re: [Thinkpad] Extra battery for the old ThinkPad 600

I don't know, as of last year this was still an active subject that some
of the 600 batteries were failing within 4 to 6 months of purchase with
less than 100 charge cycles. One of the list readers purchased an APC
battery replacement that did not suffer from the 'short cycle' battery
death.

The reason that I am concerned is that the system that will get the
battery now belongs to my wife and will be used for her college
studies. As such, I only want to purchase one set (that is two
batteries that will be switched out on a regular basis) and to not have
to constantly replace battery after battery, either through warrenty or
purchase.
