Actually, the Thinkpad X30 and the A30 both won iF awards in 2002.

And by that museum, you probably mean the MoMAQns, the Museum of Modern
Art in Long Island City, Queens. And it's not on exhibit currently
because the MoMA facilities in Midtown Manhattan are under renovation.
The LIC facility is too small to have it in full view. (Might as well,
some of the items on permanent exhibit includes a Bell Model 47 Helicopter
a large Raschenberg papier mache ice cream cone, Michel Duchamp's
signed Urinal, and I believe a Mini and a Macintosh Classic)

Well, I am pretty sure that Apple probably bagged its share of Design
awards with their Powerbooks. Jonathan Ives, the PBG4 designer, is up for
for the Designer of the year award from the London Design Museum.
(I'm not a Mac user or a mac fanatic, BTW)

Yeah, IBM makes some good products, but they are by far NOT the ONLY
vendor to win awards.
