Thanks for replying David,

I'm familiar with that KB citation but I doubt that it applies here.

Although I'm convinced it's a PCMIA problem I'm also fairly certain that
it's a problem with my machine setup rather than an intrinsic problem with
the cardbus controllers. If lots of people were having this problem it would
likely be documented all over the place.

Emanuel and Justin have already pointed me in the right direction I think
but now I have to find exactly where the settings can be changed.
