I think that it's quite interesting and worth investigating.
It seems obvious that the FSB with a 100MHz module and the PIII-500 MHz would change from 66MHz to 100MHz.
I haven't seen any indication that there should exist any obstacles to that.
If the systemboard is nothing more than "just a kind of bus" and if the CPU-card determines the FSB and if the "onboard-system-memory" is swapped with a module capable of dealing with 100MHz.....then yeah.....where's the obstacles ?
I just took a look in twbook.pdf.....and the TP600X could originally take 576MB (64+256+256MB). Why not the 770Z if the system-onboard-memory is a 100MHz-module ?
