Hi James.

I kinda hoped you'd show up ;-)

Is this correctly understood of me ?

128 MB PC100 on the systemboard. Memorybank #1
128 MB PC100 in the free slot with one memorybank. (#2)
256 MB PC100 in the free slot with two memorybanks. (#3 and 4)

And the 256MB stick from 600X (FRU# 33L3069) only works in slot-2 (Bank #3 and 4) and neither on the systemboard nor in slot-1, where only 128MB will be recognized ?

Yes, I'm very interested in these aspects of upgrading the 770Z.
Right now I'm saving up money to exchange these two 64MB 66MHz sticks, that my 770Z have had since birth.
But in Denmark the two original IBM memorysticks I'm on the hunt for (FRU# 33L3069 and 20L0255) are very expensive.
1450,- Kroner ($210) for a 256MB and 800 Kroner ($115) for a 128MB stick.

Congratulations, James. :-)

Absolutely !

Best regards
