Keyboards are actually pretty cheap. My 1451i needed a new
keyboard, and I think I paid $39 at pcpartsfinder.com about
3 years ago. So unless they've gone up in price since they
are older, it shouldn't be that much money. Try looking at
bluestartusa.com, pcpartsfinder, and ibm. I've never googled
for "thinkpad keyboards" but that might turn something up.

In general, keyboards go. Thats one of the downsides of having
them so thin. This A31p I have is about 11 months old now,
and I've done something to the "u" key. Consider however,
that its the keyboard that has gone, and not something else. ;-)
