i wonder how much more a flexview display woud cost to add
to a T40 series..

i'm sure that these decisions are agonized over by engineers
as they design the next model..
quality vs. competitive pricing..

Bad:

1. Ports on the left - left handed people who use a notepad,
planner, etc. have a difficult time working with paper with
the cables in the way. I would prefer ports on the back.

2. SXGA+ display; The T40 display is not flexview. For us
A31p users, the T40 display isn't the quality of the A31p. I
would be happy with the SXGA+ display on the T40 if it had
flexview.

Good:
Like most have said, the build quality, the speed, etc.

seems obvious since the new slim UB is only 9mm..
same thing happened with the 600 series to the T&A series..

not sure why ibm made a different port rep/dock for these
new series..

FWIW, IMO the T40p and other T40 machines are worth these
inconvienences..
progress always comes at a cost..

this is one reason the T30 is still made..
and one question most who have recently purchased new A31p's
from me, asked.. :-)
