[Thinkpad] A20M Processor upgrade

I recently posted this and no response came. I put a 1ghz chip in my a20m
to find out that 700 is the max, any ideas on how to make the chip work at
1ghz? I have the latest bios. Any ideas would be appreciated. Also, what
dvd decoder card (if any) would be suggested to improve performance and
battery life.
