Actually, I know one 911 owner whose plates say "Souped-Up VW" and
I've had lots of non-car-savvy types ask me if mine was some sort of
new Volkswagen. I like VWs as well, so I don't mind so much.
But mostly I like Porsches because I like driving. I think there
are 2 sorts of driving enthusiasts. The technical corner-carvers like
Porsches and BMWs, and the wild & crazy, power-slide types like
Ferraris and US muscle cars. I think the former, like me, are the ones
that are Thinkpad fans as well.
