Well, I'm less than an A. Actually I'm almost next to nothing ;-)

Never mind. I enjoy being here :-)

Here's a question for all--if you want to take a poll:

How many list members have been subscribed to this list for at least:

  a) 2 Years
  b) 5 Years
  c) 7 Years
  d) Since the inception of this mailing list (nearly 10 years)

Now my answer is "D", and the list archives will prove it. Its been quite
a while since I was a young college kid with my first Thinkpad and actively
participating on the mailing list, but its also been a fabulously useful 10
years of having it as a resource.

I think one of the reasons this list has stuck around so long, and so many
of us have *still* continued to subscribe to it, is because of the high
quality of technical knowledge we all share with one another, and the
tolerance we've had in allowing that kind of knowledge to be shared, even
when it didn't always fit with "ThinkPad" in the discussion. Most of the
time it was still related in some way, as people were usually reasonable.

Now I've seen it get off-track more than a few times, but it has rarely
ever been "awful", and I still know how to scan subject lines and use my
  delete key.

Is that too much to ask?
