I joined in 1995, so I guess that makes me a "c". Gone thru a 755c, a
760CL, 760XL and now a TPA21M.
This list has been a tremendous resource for learning about PC
architecture and small Operating Systems. And I say small with a reason,
as my background is in IBM 360/370/390 architecture and System
Programming. Learning Unix was a down step for me, and I refused for
years to have anything to do with Intel architecture, until the lure of
a Thinkpad laptop was too strong for me to resist anymore. They have been
perfect traveling companions from the first to the current one.
I have loaded the various models at different times with OS/2, Solaris,
Linux, and various flavors of Windows. I am now running W2k as the
primary OS mainly to provide support to my relatives and friends.
I do occasionally contribute to the list, but not as much as I would, due
to life keeping me rather busy. For the most part, I read, shutup and
learn.
