The video card is a Radeon 7800. I can't tell what the video hardware
really is. It's a separate "philips" device according to Windows, but under
NetBSD, I don't see a separate PCI device, so I assume it's really part of
the video card.

New data point: After about 6 reboots to get it running at all, I've found
that PowerVCR works fine under Windows '98SE on this machine. So, this is
probably PowerVCR and XP not getting along. Their web site implies that there
is a patch for XP, but the links all go to a couple of apparently unrelated
patches. I might play with it more later.

The ideal case, of course, is to get access to it through a video driver
under *BSD.
