interesting. i am waiting for some manufacturer to bring out a laptop
with cf flash instead of a hard drive. you can buy a gig of cf for
less than $200 retail, and the trend is sharply downward. i don't know
about you but, with a little discipline, i could live with a cf 'hard
drive' of ~ 6 gigs. no spinning drive means less power consumption,
which means less weight and longer battery life.
