Hello,

You did not mention which operating system(s) you were running on your
ThinkPad A31p, but perhaps the following article from IBM's web site titled
"TP General - Windows Clock on the taskbar loses time" will help. It is in
regards to a clock drift under Windows 9x where the operating system's clock
gets out of sync with the hardware RTC in the computer.
