Thanks for this offer. I may take you up on the download. I am not sure I
want to go to 2000 but I just might. I am looking for Win 98 only because
I know it and haven't had much trouble with it up till now. I have loaded
it on several Thinkpads but this one has really been a trial.

The first 40Gig drive I tried wouldn't install right. I came to find that
it is a fault in the drive not the Thinkpad. However after fighting with
it for some time I have gone goofy. I have the drivers for the 570 but for
some reason (related to SE I suspect) I can't get them to pull
together. I haven't had the time to mess with it that I usually have as I
am busy with the work I use the computer for. Haste always makes waste!

Several other list members have offered help and I might try one of them
for the 98 load first. If I decide to go with 2000 I will send you a note
and perhaps we can do the download thing. By the way, would you recommend
2000 over XP? I thought I would try that next If I can't get 98
going. What is your opinion?
