Bingo, that works!
I indeed had HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\IBM\TPHOTKEY (pointing to
C:\Program Files\ThinkPad\PkgMgr\HOTKEY, which was there) in my registry,
and 8001 under it (but with Default - REG_SZ - value not set).
Is regedit the only way to put the ThinkPad-key to meaningful use or is it
possible to configure it with an IBM-supplied application (what's all the
stuff in \Program Files\ThinkPad\PkgMgr\HOTKEY for?)?
