After re-reading tawbook and tabook, they say memory speed is limited to
266MHz or PC2100. But some models come with PC2700. I would imagine this
is because PC2700 is often cheaper than PC2100 due to market realities.
Also, all (11 models of) X30's use PC133 memory, while all X31's (39 of
them so far) max out at PC2100 speeds, which is really only twice as fast.
(Again, all according to the books.)
133 MHz * 8 bytes per transfer comes to 1064MB/s.
PC2100 is DDR 133 or 133 * 2 * 8 or 2128MB/s.
I think I've got it straight now, and I'm bummed that I can't justify the
cost for the 2672-RHU right now. (802.11 a/b/g, bluetooth, gigabit
ethernet, 40GB 5400RPM drive, 1.6GHz Pentium M, 512MB RAM and 3 year
warranty. Drool.)
