[Thinkpad] Shortage of notebook disk drives threatens to raise prices

Notebook drives continue to be one of the most active parts of the storage
market, analysts and vendors said. The supply of 2.5-inch hard drives will
continue to fall short of demand in 2004. Rising demand for notebooks
following the introduction of Intel's Centrino platform and the emergence of
consumer digital products have driven up global demand for 2.5-inch drives.
