If the PCMCIA slots aren't working you may just need the IBM drivers.
I could send you the PCMCIA files on a floppy I downloaded for my solid
state 560x.
I also have a boot floppy that loads the external CD drivers for my EXP
CDrom, might work with an IBM drive? At least it would get you close.
I also have a restore CD copy (thanks to someone on this list) that
you'd be welcome to try.
