[Thinkpad] Bigger task bar XP

Does anyone know how to make the XP task bar bigger? I don't mean drag it
and double the size, I mean actually make a one line task bar bigger, like
you can do in 98
Some of my machines display BOTH the time and date, others only the time due
to the smaller size. I can't figure out the setting that makes it larger
while using the video enhancements (turn that off and I CAN do it!)
