ted..
up until 9-11 there was a thinkpad advisory group..
a couple of friends of mine were on it and a meeting was set up for later
2001, until 9-11 and then it was cancelled..
no further meeting has been scheduled, AFAIK..
contacting someone in thinkpad product development can't be easy since most
or all of that is done in yamato, japan..
i think your idea is excellent..
the light is not really UV, is it..
more like a blacklight that picks up the white and nothing more.. right..?
sounds like a good idea..
there was a fellow on my open forum who returned his R50 to ibm..
i think he was nit-picking and looking for something he did not like to
justify his returning it to ibm..
one of his "nits" was the thinklight was amber rather than white as on the
T40 series..
i disagree as the white light is too intense and glaring in a low light
situation..
amber is better and a black light would be even better..
the ultimate would be both black light and amber thinklights..
