IBM modifies their lineup based on customer requirements, where customer is
defined as Fortune500 businesses. Their requirements are what makes ThinkPads
evolve. Thus what you see in IBM's lineup is what is popular demand for
those customers. Consumers are a minority.

No idea, maybe it will never happen, unless a big ibm customer asks for it.
its all about providing services to customers, although in this case we are not the customers ;)
