The G-series is the replacement for the old i(Blah blah blah) series.
It's really the cheapskate special. The A-series true replacement is the
more expensive segment in the R-series.

So look at the R-series. They have a few machines that fits that
descripton. Besides, a 1.4GHz Pentium-M can outpeform a 2.4Ghz Pentium
4m, so shopping for a machine based on the Megahertz rating is futile to
say the least.

Probably NEVER? Memory slots are space wasting, power dissipating
components, and 3rd party component makers really profit from forcing
users to replace memory units everytime that they upgrade.
2 slots are probably the optimal solution for these mobile machines for a
LONG time to come.
