I see lots of batteries on eBay now (in my case, for a TP600), such
as item #3454123624 for U$44.
I wonder if they're reliable, are they taking old IBM batteries and
replacing the cells or what? A local battery dealer says he can
replace the cells in my existing dead batteries as long as the
board isn't fried (which he'd test) but I don't know the price yet.
And I've seen instructions online for DIY.
Have the batteries really become this much of a commodity? Even if
I get the Electrovaya discussed in another thread, I don't have a
working internal battery for backup.
