[Thinkpad] Thinkpad T40/T41 and RedHat Linux

Does anyone have any suggestions on installing RedHat
Linux on a Thinkpad T41? Can I do it in addition to
the factory installed XP, or do I have to FDISK it? I
was wondering if I can just resize the existing
partition with Partition Magic, and then install Linux
there.

Also, supposedly I have a 40Gig drive, but it shows as
36Gig, even in bytes (36BBytes). Does that mean that
IBM has a hidden partition with system utilities
there, and what happens if I FDISK that drive?

Thanks.
