[Thinkpad] Re: Installing USB on Older Thinkpads

I certainly appreciate the good advice. Unfortunately, the BIOS
on the computer is too old (1996) and I can't upgrade it because I
don't have a battery. That may be the root of my problem. As Bruce
suggested I looked for the cardbus under Thinkpad Utilities (Configuration
Utility for Windows 95/98/Me/2000), but it refers me back to the to the
PCMCIA section of the Device Manager.

Is there another way to directly get to the BIOS; I've tried F1, DEL, F10?

If all fails, that's okay, since running a USB is not critical to my needs.
