Andrew, I assume you want to replace the internal hard
disk with a quieter one, correct?
On my 560X (Win98SE, 96MB RAM), I run from an external
USB 1.1 hard case with a 6GB Toshiba notebook hard
drive.
My external hard drive is much quieter than the
internal hard drive - although I'm not at all
concerned about noise.
My twopence worth ...
