Thanks for the informaion. Very interesting. My case is very solid, ie
i dont think i would be able to "jostle" it. What model Thinkpad do
you have? My a31p's left ultrabay is empty...

A reboot normally solves the problem in my case - without touching the
case - if it were a cable problem, needing to be resolved by jostling
the case, a reboot would not fix it i think... Interesting that we get
the same symptoms...

I meant to ask - any readers with a a31p or Radeon Mobility 7800 (or
7500)? If you would like to try to reproduce the problem, I noticed
that Battlefield 1942 causes it every time, almost straight after I go
into a battle or combat... So if you want to download the demo and try
it on your A31p i would be very interested to hear how you get along,
or anyone who knows anyother way to reproduce the problem reliably, so
i can show IBM support, that would be great..
