[Thinkpad] Any experience out there with foreign key labels on a Thinkpad (in particular the T20)

Hello:

I have given up on finding a German keyboard for this T20 which I plan to
give as a present to a relative. Plan B involves something to apply to the
appropriate keys. Any suggestions appreciated.
