[Thinkpad] T41p: internal DVD burner available?

I've been drooling over the T41P, which (I rationalize) isn't
really any more expensive than what I paid for the 266MHz TP600
that I'm typing this on. ;)

It appears from IBM's site that they make an internal DVD burner
but that it isn't an option for the T41p. Is that true? Is it
because the T41 is too thin? If so, is there a third-party
internal drive on the market?

Of course I want the 2373GEU; it seems to come with IBM's
802.11a/b/g yet IBM's site offers a mini-PCI card for it that does
essentially the same thing. I think I wouldn't need that, am I
right? And I'd have 10/100/1000 ethernet as well?

What's the internal screen like at max resolution? That actually
seems like too much but I get frustrated enough with 1024x768 on my
existing machine, I'd hate to spend a couple of thousand and get a
14" screen with the same resolution (some of the T4x seem to be
that). And the higher external resolution is a bonus, my desktop
is set to 1280x1024 on a 19" monitor and that makes everything seem
pretty small!

Thanks for any advice you can offer on my questions or on this
machine. And would you recommend something else?
