A page on IBM Canada's site says this about the T41p

>2373GEU
>
>Description: TPT41P 1.7G 512MB 60GB XPP
>
>Limited Warranty period and type3: Three years
>parts and labor (system battery: one year)
>Limited International Warranty

but it doesn't say what "Limited International Warranty" means.

I know when I got my TP600 that it wasn't automatic that I could
get service in the US, there were forms to fill out.

How hard is it to get service outside Canada on a Canadian machine?
And can I upgrade to onsite service on this machine?

Thanks!
