Yes in some ways we are lumbered, however we do have out national
pension scheme that for anyone who has paid in for his working life gets
enough to just live on for ever, also we have a free, at point of need
health service, which has proved itself to be well eworth the taxes we
pay. The VAT is a sales tax which goes toward the above along with our
fuel taxes . We do infact pay less than other European countries. so we
could be worse off Id rather pay more for my laptop and know if I fell
ill Id get full medical support what ever I needed without worrying
about the cost.
 whats that worth?
