[Thinkpad] RAID / Stripping setup on ThinkPad

I am wondering if any of you have experience with a RAID setup on a
ThinkPad. Once you have enough memory on a laptop, very often, the
bottleneck is not the CPU, but the disk. Having a RAID 0 (stripping)
on two disks can significantly improve the performance in such
situation. I am wondering if this setup is practical, or even possible
on a ThinkPad.
