The desktop drive C: has one. A black plastic bit. But doesn't fit on
the 2.5 drive. I emailed Hitachi about this question, where to find
a small jumper. So far they didn't follow, and just sent a diagram of the
jumper settings.

For others who have used such a 2.5" to 3.5" IDE adaptor, did you need one
of those things?
