NO NO NO
forget it
you dont have enough memory ...!!
CPU is irelevant
the minimum for Win 2000 is 96MB - 128MB ..ish
forget the 64 MB specs on the side of the box.........
Unless you simply want to boot the OS and sit there looking at it .
> but will it degrade performance from W98S1
yeah ... mayor !
..peter...
now waiting for the emails about: win 2k works great on a 701 with 40 MB!
LOL
PS
ordered and received a bunch of Dell 2400 desktops the other day ..
Win XP with 128 MB ...and shared video memory .
Was interesting to watch the Icons being drawn . ;-}
Baby was SLOW !
Task Mgr showed ~~128 MB being used just by the OS sitting there .
Yes ....5 minutes later they had half a gig Ram and all was fine .

> Thinking of upgrading my 365XD to W2K. (It does have the minimally required P-133 CPU.) Does anyone know if there is a set of W2K
drivers for the W2K, or should it work with W98 ones? Does it actually make sense to upgrade from W98SP1 to W2KSP4 on a 365XD?
Assume the system will be more stable; but will it degrade performance from W98S1? The machine has 70 Mb RAM (w/ BIOS 1.1) and
apparently meets the W2K system minimal system requirements of a P-133 CPU. Anyone who's tried this? Advice?
