Hi,
Maybe this is a little bit OT, but it's still thinkpad-related. I am
running slackware 9.1 on my thinkpad 570 and want to use the new
2.6.3 kernel. The problem is, I can't make it shutdown properly. I
always have to turn the thinkpad off manually after the shutdown
sequence. Have been experimenting with variuos configuration setting
but without luck. Could anyone who's got 2.6.3 running on their
thinkpad (with apm) send me their .config? Thanks.
Another problem I have is the cdrom which is in the ultrabase. If I
switch the laptop on while docked, I can access the cdrom and floppy
without a problem. However, if I undock the thinkpad and then redock, I
can't access the cdrom.'mount' says : '/dev/cdrom is not a valid block
device'. Compiling cdrom support as a loadable module does not help.
How do solve this problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
dim
