I'm used to some things costing more up here, but I'm also used to
the difference (in same-currency) narrowing the last few years.
The T41p (2373-GEU) lists for C$5529 at ibm.ca and U$3349 at
ibm.com. The latter is only C$4448 (www.xe.net)! Am I overlooking
something that leads to a >$1000 spread? Like, am I comparing
different models and can't tell?
I found a local (Ottawa) dealer willing to order and sell for only
$5075. But I can buy-it-now on eBay for U$2910 which eBay claims
is C$3883. And if I don't trust eBay, I can order from Bill Morrow
(whom I most definitely trust!) for U$2999 or C$4019. I can't tell
for certain if Bill has it in stock right now, but that's not the
point anyway.
Someone please tell me what I'm overlooking. 'Cause the US price
makes it very appealing!
Thanks!
