According to the information on this web site, Lithium-ion batteries
deteriorate after a few years whether you use them or not:
That would seem to argue against buying used batteries. It would be
nice if some manufacturer would certify the date of manufacture of the cells
used in the battery, but I've never heard of any doing that.
