[Thinkpad] TP 770 - HDD recognition

Hello,
I tried a new 10GB HDD - which was not working.
Then changed back to the old 4GB
BUT whenever I start, it is not recognized any more:
the white grafik indicating to insert a floppy appears.
I have to start new, open Easy Setup, initialize and deactivate Quick
boot - every time.
how can I manage this?
