We have a few Dell's here ..which I'm trying to change !
Nothing wrong with them ..but nothing "right " either .
One of our most consistent complaints is that Dell manages to screw up
virtually every laptop order.
This is not the fault of the laptop per se ...but is irritating .

I've been very happy with the Compaq EVO N600c / N610C / N620C line.
They are better / cheaper than the equivilant Dell's .
I have had no real issues with the EVO's .
NOTE that these are HP /Compaq corporate machines .
The consumer HP /Compaq stuff you find at BestBuy /Costco / any North
American Retail store etc... is crap !

There are virtually no Thinkpads on site ..other than a few personal
machines and a bunch of 760's that I brought in many years ago.
There is one personal T40 on site ..I was even allowed to touch it !

I'm a Much... much bigger fan of cheap DELL desktops .
I've bought a few Dozen of those .
Dimension 2350 /2400 stuff .
