Im only a little younger than your dad.,and have old tired eyes aswell.
Id definately advise the following.
The cheapest will be the 390x, p3 500 15in screen @1024 by 768. Better
still is the A20P 15in screen with 1400 by 1050. I use the A21P running
at 1600 by 1200 with win 98se and the type set to 140%. this is so sharp
and clear its the best of the 3 listed.
Find a low milage 390x id advise, with the right spectacles he will be
fine.
