Re: [Thinkpad] Technical reference to hardware - tp 770

Hi
well, problem is, that the original box has a flat-foil connector, not a
plug, and it is fixed to the device.
I tried a hitachi CDRW in my "new" 600 - it worked with windows BUT
will not be recognized in Easy setup...
Same with a 10 GB HDD - runs fine - but gives critical errors analysed
with PartitionMag. - cannot be Changed, without complete formatting...
So is there a unknown biosupdate, the 10 GB for 600 and 770 too big,
another brand necessary?
Thanks
Bernadette

Hi.
There is no CDRW for TP 770.
But....I was wondering if it's possible to take the CD-drive out of the
TP770 UltraBay-shell and replace it with a CDRW ?
Just like this one http://thinkpads.com/cdrwinfo.htm for TP 570/600.
