Excellent theory, expecially as it's true in the case of the 770 series which is
built on the same chipset. I've never been able to get any 770 series machine
above 512MB regardless of which memory I use in which slot.
But I dont't think that's the case with the 600 machines as the 600E and 600X
are easily upgraded to 544MB and 576MB respectively, and they're both built on
the same 440BX chipset.
