Windows recognizes old versions by looking for the file win.com
everywhere on the drive. If you rename win.com to something else, the
install should proceed OK. However, I think you *might* get a fresh
install, not an upgrade - ie, you will have to reinstall your apps
(though their directories etc will stay).
