First thing that comes to mind is to try headphones, and if those are ok,
then another set of external speakers. If the speakers you have now are
plugged into the wall, use some that aren't externally powered. All kinds
of issues can arise from ground feedback loops, as I've experienced in my
car before. I have no idea what the problem is really, but trying these
things will isolate your power outlet from being a problem, or if it
happens in headphones, u know it's with the laptop.
