Steve.

I looked it up.

The 80, 120 and 160 MB HD's were all ESDI, but the 240 and 340 MB HD's were
IDE.
The Upgrade was an IDE controller and would presumably accept even larger
drives.
Maybe that's what you remember.

Well. I'll settle with the 120MB ESDI HD anyway. It's probably impossible to
get that upgrade 2. hand.

Have installed a Danish version of OS/2 Warp all day BTW and found some
video codecs and utilities on the net.
Actually......it's a fine machine. Compared to my PS2 P70-386 it's a
revolution in portable computing.

If anyone have 700C/720C-spareparts they wish to give to charity....feel
free ;-)

Wow.... This brings back memories. Among the best were all the
people in 1993 who stared at the screen, not believing that anything
that pretty could be that thin...

I had the 120M disk, and looked up getting a larger disk. From what
I remember, you should be able to get the 340M disk in there. You
might also be able to get the 500M and 800M esdi disks in as well. I
don't recall having to change the system board for that, but I could
be wrong. I think comp.sys.laptops would be a good place to ask.

I hope the hinges are OK. I had five screens replaced in a time span
of 21 months of using it.

Have fun with it.
