I am a little concerned about the write error. This can indicate a failing
hard drive.
When you dial on line, you will notice the hard drive activity. You may have
bad sectors in the area it is trying to write to. I suggest you run the
Drive Fitness Test and check out the drive. It may not be the modem at all.
