[Thinkpad] thinkpad 600 problems

I reformated my thinkpad with help from a friend who I thought new what he was doing. Anyway I think Its reformated but when I start it, it says:

Invalid system disk
Replace the disk, and then press any key

Im not sure what to do. I think i need a boot disk or something
